The orchid and the snow

I love orchids, and this one has been making me think about warm, tropical islands where orchids grow wild, while New York is waiting yet more snow, or an ice storm...

    My family in Costa Rica used to have orchids and took them to shows and exhibitions in and out of town. I love them!
    Costa Rica's national flower is the Guaria Morada. A beautiful orchid.
