Drool Worthy

Bottega Veneta has an iPad case that is so drool worthy I have to share it here.. It is not on my shopping list, but a girl can always drool, right?

Roma

I looooove my new Bottega Veneta bag! I can't wait to get all dolled up with it - but meanwhile, here are some pics with my pregnancy houseclothes; not very inspiring, but isn't it funny how a bag can elevate anything?

More Fall Wants - Bottega Veneta

I have been drooling after a brown leather woven Bottega bag for a while now. The desire has come to a point that I'm on a first name basis with Georgia from the Bottega boutique, and chat with her a couple of times a month on the phone.. Poor Georgia, she did not make a commission out of me yet because so far I have been able to resist the urge - after all, I have been under strict no-shopping rule for a while. But now I am really giving in. To justify, I did not get a birthday present, and my husband usually also gets me a little something for the birth of the new baby, so if you roll those two things into one, it probably spells Bottega! And technically, if it is a gift from the hubby, I am not even breaking my no-shopping rule. But it is so hard to choose which one I want! Sometimes, after wanting something a long time it just gets impossible to decide... Here are the contenders:

Large Veneta
Pyramid
Parachute
Roma
Montaigne

It's so hard not to shop...

And it's so hard to get over the Bottega Veneta obsession...although, I just may have done it now.. Over the weekend, between Home Depot and the construction site, I did manage to squeeze in one short visit to Bottega Veneta. Just to get a quick peak! I almost bought a bag - but while I was inspecting the bag, with my kids running around the store, and my belly sticking out it being quite obvious I was knocked up again, the sales lady said something that really turned me off.. I know, it's not such a big deal, but I just could not help but being a bit miffed. I was talking to myself mostly, but also to her, saying that this could look nice with jeans but that the bag is really more ladylike and for the office rather than for toting around baby bottles. The sales woman looks at me conspiratorially, and says that oh, don't worry, most women who buy this bag don't work.. I got a bit upset that she so readily assumed that I did not work. Of course I told her that I actually do work, but then the damage was done, and I was turned off. I did not buy the bag, and truth be told, Bottega Veneta can wait a while. But since I did not get my shopping fix there, I was itching for something fabulous and cute. Luckily, a blogger girlfriend Tres Chic, gave me a hint about certain Vivienne Westwood rubber booties that I had admired on her being available at my wardrobe.com. I can't wait to receive them - bring on the rain and sleet in the fall - I will be fabulously ready in my new rubber booties!

Bottega Veneta (for Mother's Day?)

Mother's Day is fast approaching and my husband asked me today to give him some hints for a mother's day present. I looked around at some of my favorite stores' web sites and as usual I was drawn to bags...once bag crazy, always bag crazy. I have been planning to add a Bottega Veneta to my collection, but have not found the right one (the crocodile Bottega that I have been known to rave about is wayyyy to expensive, and since one of my new rules is to do without until you can have what you really love, I have passed it on the Bottegas) - until now - because this bag is crazy cool. It's a little rough but at the same time very chic and most importantly, very easy to match with almost any outfit that I would wear, whether business or weekend. Here it is:
It was love at first sight! Although I have not yet actually seen it.. I need to get myself to Bergdorf's fast to touch and feel this beauty and to see how the proportions work for me.

There are other possible Bottega options, but they are more basic and boring (not to mention cheaper, in case there is a budget for the mother's day present):
This one is a the same basic tote but the color really gives it a punch. I am just not sure it's me:
