So 2009 or still stylish?

While on maternity leave I hardly wore a watch, or if I did, it was a smaller size watch for ease and also for being careful not to scratch the baby with my watch or with any other jewellery for that matter. But now that I went back to work I started wearing my Michael Kors watch again. It feels so huge on my wrist and the question is, is it too big? I guess the style pendulum is swinging towards smaller everything, watches, bags, even jewellery although rings still seem to be pretty huge...

More black and white style inspiration

As mentioned before, I am happy that black and white was so present at the spring 2011 shows. I will definitely adopt this trend. Here is some more black and white style inspiration.

One Less Thing to Worry About

My new au pair confirmed that she has plane tickets and will be here in early July.

Thank God.

I was starting to worry that maybe she changed her mind...it has happened before. But now that her flights are confirmed, I feel better.

Oh, and I have totally forgotten to congratulate my "boyfriend" Michael Kors for winning the CFDA award. It is soooo well deserved!

I can't even pick my favorites from his shows, they are all so fabulous. I could be dressed in any of his outfits! The wearability and luxurious casuality are just so wonderful!

Move over MJ - Michael Kors is the new KING

I LOVE MK!!! Michael Kors' fall 2010 collection is so fabulous I almost forgot to breathe looking at the pics from the MK collection on style.com. It is such easygoing luxury, each look is sexy, not too young, not too old, not too complicated or weird, but just beautifully tailored, luxurious and fabulous clothes. And the best thing is that they are so imminently wearable. Once I have my current project finished next fall (wink wink), I will be sporting these looks!!

COLD and STYLE

Enough with this cold already! The cold is definitely messing with my style. You see, I am too old to sacrifice comfort for style. I have a problem with my knees as they seem to freeze in approximately 5 seconds in sub-zero weather (sub zero Celsius, that is), which is why I need to wear a full length coat whenever the temperature falls at 32 degrees (Fahrenheit, that is). I also have a 10 minute walk to the subway, down a very windy street. And anyone who has experienced a New York winter knows it is all about the wind shield!

Even though my full length coats are very nice, they are not the height of fashion. This winter I've been wearing a dark grey shearling coat and a Michael Kors down coat, both down to my ankles, and WARM WARM WARM.
